"Hold the wheel" application for Android tries to provide heigher level of safety for smartphone users while they are driving, but at the same time the application tries to maintain the user's responsivnes to incoming phone calls and SMS messages.

"Hold the wheel" works in that way that it allows switching to a "drive mode" in which the phone can automatically send a SMS message as a respond to incoming phone calls and incoming SMS messages. In that way you do not have to touch your phone when it is ringing or when you receive a new SMS message. The caller or the sender of a SMS message can be automatically informed the you are currently unable to answer the phone call or read a message.

"Hold the wheel" has support for Android Wear, but you can use the application even if you do not have an Android wear device.

You can also use your Android Wear device to configure application settings.

- Automatic mode switching

If you do not want to be asked on your Android Wear device to switch on/off "Drive mode" when the application detects that you are in a vehicle, you can use the functionality of automatic mode switching. As the result, the aplication will turn on "drive mode" automatically when it detects that you are in a vehicle, and it will turn off "drive mode" when it detects that you are not in a vehicle.

- Manual mode switching

If you do not want the application to automatically switch on/off the "drive mode" or to ask you if you want to switch mode, you can use the functionality to manualy switch on/off the "drive mode".

- Silent mode

Application can switch your phone to silent mode when the application is in the "drive mode".

- Limit responding by phone number prefix

You can limit automatic SMS responding only to incoming calls and SMSs from numbers that start with prefix that you define. That way you can prevent sending automatic SMS messages to foreign numbers and making higher costs.

"Tenere la ruota" applicazione per Android cerca di fornire il livello superiore precedente di sicurezza per gli utenti di smartphone mentre sono alla guida, ma allo stesso tempo, l'applicazione tenta di mantenere responsivnes dell'utente per le chiamate in arrivo e messaggi SMS.

"Tenere la ruota" funziona in quel modo che permette di passare ad una "modalità di guida", in cui il telefono può inviare automaticamente un messaggio SMS come rispondere alle chiamate in arrivo e messaggi SMS in arrivo. In questo modo non si deve toccare il telefono quando squilla o quando si riceve un nuovo messaggio SMS. Come risultato, il aplication si accende "drive mode" automaticamente quando rileva che sei in un veicolo, e si spegnerà "drive mode" quando rileva che non siete in un veicolo.

- Modalità di commutazione manuale

Se non si desidera che l'applicazione automaticamente / disattivare la modalità "drive" o di chiedere se si desidera cambiare la modalità, è possibile utilizzare la funzionalità di interruttore manualy / disattivare la "modalità di guida".

- Modalità silenziosa

L'applicazione può passare il telefono alla modalità silenziosa quando l'applicazione è in modalità "drive".

- Limite di rispondere al numero di telefono il prefisso

È possibile limitare SMS automatico di rispondere solo alle chiamate in arrivo e SMS da numeri che iniziano con il prefisso che si definisce. In questo modo è possibile impedire l'invio di messaggi automatici di SMS a numeri stranieri e rendendo i costi più elevati.
